Internet marketing wisdom from the United Kingdom
I recently stumbled upon the following press release from the UK. It emphasizes that social media and email blasts are tools that can be key components of a holistic 21st century Internet marketing strategy. However, it re-enforces that long-term Internet marketing success relies on hard work and focus.

Team Hypernet's search engine optimization (SEO) services and strategy

Team Hypernet aims to take the mystery out of SEO and deliver the best value in the industry. TeamHypernet asserts that an effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategy is extremely important for any company, non-profit, sports association, or news outlet that wishes to gain a competitive edge.
Too many companies do not have an effective internet marketing strategy. This creates great opportunities for progressive companies with intelligent online marketing strategies to get ahead.
Effective SEO projects require companies to clearly and concisely define and deliver the message of who they are, what they do, and why someone should do business with them. On the web, less is more. The key is to effectively communicate your value proposition in as few words as possible. To win on the web, one's messaging needs to be clear and concise.
The following three Team Hypernet SEO rules will benefit any organization to develop a new and improved online marketing strategy. Only first page listings are considered a success in search engine placement. Very few people click on the second page.
TeamHypernet SEO rule #1 – Own your name.
Team Hypernet clients own their online names in Google and BING searches.
example: Chief’s Trucking contracted TeamHypernet to develop their first website in 2007. Without a website, they had no control over their online identity. Today, they hold firm ownership of their online brand.
An August 4, 2010 Google search of Chiefs Trucking placed them at # 1, # 2, # 3, # 6, # 8, # 9, & # 10 out of 1,300,000.
BING placed Chief's at # 1, # 4, # 6, and # 9 out of 1,510,000.
TeamHypernet SEO rule #2 – Own your business categories.
Team Hypernet's SEO clients are well placed to succeed.
TeamHypernet's Search Engine Optimizers research and enter clients’ brand information into free or low-cost niche and general business online directories.
example: Terry's guide to dining and drinking in southwest and south-central Michigan was recently updated, worked with TeamHypernet to upgrade its business category SEO & issued a press release. And the results are impressive.
A Google search of Michigan Food and Drink, placed Terry's guide at # 1, # 2, and # 8 out of 11,400,000 results.
A BING search of South-central Michigan Restaurant Guide placed Terry at # 1, and # 6 out of 3,890,000.
Southwest Michigan restaurant guide is a crowded category, still Terry's guides earned # 3 on the first page out of 23,900,000 results with Google.
TeamHypernet SEO rule #3 – Blog and leverage social media
example: The Detroit Hockey Association (DHA) has maintained its Detroit Hockey News blog since 2007. Its redesigned website, including a calendar application was launched in 2008.
A Google search of Detroit Hockey News placed the DHA # 2, and # 3 out of 15,100,000.
A BING search of Detroit Hockey resulted in a # 1 - shared map listing- and # 4 out of 25,300,000. Not bad!
